Good Morning, My Fellow Aloysians!
My name is Roydon D’Souza from II BCA and I am here to urge you to vote me into the Secretarial office today.
I know that a lot of you want me to stand up here and talk wise for two minutes and tell you that a vote for Roydon is a vote for Bhelpuris and Charmuris., but I would first like to address some of the issues involved in today’s elections.
Today’s election is of dire importance to the short-term and long-term future of us Aloysians. We need strong leadership this year. I would like to submit to you that I am the best qualified candidate to lead the Student Council and the student body as its secretary.
Well, well I want to tell you I am a leader of caliber. I am open minded, helpful, down to earth, experienced in my role (class representative for 2 consecutive years). I believe in equality and innovative methods. To mention a few of my achievements, I am the State Vice President of Karnataka AICUF, a creator of many social communities, corporate networks and desktop applications. I have been the proud winner of district level IT quiz, won prizes in animation and programming. I have attended various seminars and workshops and leadership camps.
I am hoping that I’ve already won you over with my charming good looks… but I’ll just assume they haven’t worked and move on to Plan B.
I will have a suggestion box or the grievance cell which addresses the students concerns. I believe that this will be the best of the improvements that I plan to make here. I will also ensure that all the required information is passed onto the students in time and gather feedback on the same.
I would like to urge you all not to cast your vote based on what kind of car the candidate drives or on how athletic he or she looks. Let not these materialistic things overshadow the reason why you must vote for him or her. The truth is we are in need of individuals, who have the potential to represent us and our college, who can give their heart and soul for the betterment of the student body.
Friends, I cannot encourage you enough to make the right choice and vote for me into the Secretarial office. My dedication and hard work will lead us into a golden age. There was once a Three-time Secretarial candidate who said in desperation after losing is third election, “I would rather be right than Secretary.” I submit to you that I can be both.
I hope my professional conduct and serious attitude have shown you that I am devoted to the cause of improving our college.
For the future of our college, put back Roy in the Student council and vote Roydon as your secretary. Thank you.
