The management, staff and students of St. Aloysius College will launch the campaign “Green, Clean and Plastic Free Campus’ on Wednesday, 2 Sept. 2009 in the College premises. The inaugural of this campaign will be held at 12:00 P.M. by Rev Fr. Swebert D’Silva, Principal and blessed by Rev Fr. Joseph I. Rodrigues. This campaign is organised to bring awareness among the students about the importance of cleanliness in our campus.
Students of the various associations of the College will assemble in front of the college portico with placards which will give a message to the students about the importance of a green campus. Later the students will go in a procession inside the college campus with the placards to show the importance of this campaign and create a sense of responsibility in every student of this college.
Later, jute bags will be given to those who are using plastic bags. The motive of this campaign is to stop the use of plastic completely in the campus. Students will be asked to keep their classes clean and also to maintain it everyday. By this we will increase the responsibility in every student in creating and maintaining a GREEN, CLEAN and PLASTIC FREE CAMPUS.
